The gospel is not good advice. It’s good news.
Jesus is inviting you to something better.
God loves you. He didn’t start loving you when you got your act together.
And he doesn’t stop loving you when you fall apart at the seams.
God’s love for you has never been based on your performance.
He simply, completely, unconditionally loves you.
The truth is, you can’t out-sin the cross. Jesus is better at saving than you are at sinning.
Because of Him, you can be forgiven, made new, and brought into a relationship with God—right now.
Beginning
God made everything good—a world marked by perfect relationship with Him, under His good rule and love.
Genesis 1-2
Problem
But we chose our own way instead of His.
We rebelled against God—and because of that, sin, shame, and death entered the world. Our relationship with Him was broken, and we stood guilty, separated from the life we were made for.
Genesis 3
Pursuit
But God didn’t leave us in our sin.
In His love, He pursued us—promising to rescue and restore what was broken, so that we could be brought back to Him.
Genesis 12
Rescue
That rescue came in Jesus.
Fully God and fully man, He lived the life we failed to live—perfectly obedient to the Father. Then He went to the cross in our place, bearing our sin and taking the judgment we deserved.
And three days later, He rose again, defeating Satan, sin, and death—so that we could be forgiven, declared righteous, and made new.
Through Jesus, reconciliation with God becomes possible.
John 1, Hebrews 4:15, 1 Peter 3:18, Hebrews 2:14-15
Invitation
Now Jesus invites you—personally.
To repent—turning from your sin and your own way, and to trust in Him alone for salvation. Not to earn God’s love, but to receive what Jesus has already done for you.
He invites you to something beyond just belief. He invites you to surrender your whole life to Him and follow Him as your Savior and King.
John 3:16, Ephesians 2:8-9, 1 John 1:9
Response
So, how will you respond today? Will you surrender your life to Jesus?
This very moment, you can trust in Him, be forgiven, reconciled to God, and step into new life with Him.
Romans 10:9, Galatians 2:20, Mark 8:34-35, Romans 6:4-7
If you’re ready to surrender your life to Jesus, you can do that right now.
You can use the prayer below as a starting point. Make it your own.
God, I’m sorry for going my own way, and running from your good design and good desires for me.
Jesus, thank you for your life, death, and resurrection, which made a way for me to be forgiven of all my sins and experience new life.
Jesus, please take your rightful place as King in my life. I turn from my sin and toward your grace and forgiveness. Help me today and in the days to come to be with you and become like you for the sake of the world. Amen.

What does following Jesus look like?
Be baptized.
Baptism is your next step after surrendering your life to Jesus.
It’s a public declaration of what He has done for you—
that your old life has been put to death, and you’ve been raised to new life in Him.
Baptism doesn’t save you—Jesus does.
It’s simply a step of obedience,
a declaration of your new identity,
and a celebration with your new family.
If you’ve surrendered your life to Jesus, don’t put this off.
Step into what He’s called you to next.
We’d love to celebrate with you.
Spend time with God.
Your new life with Jesus begins with relationship.
He’s not distant—He’s with you, and He wants to meet with you.
As you spend time with Him in His Word and prayer, you’ll begin to know His voice, trust His heart, and grow in your faith.
Start simply:
Open the Bible and begin to read. Talk to God honestly in prayer. Listen as He leads you.
If you’re not sure where to start, we’ve got a couple of resources to help:
Live generously.
As you follow Jesus, your whole life begins to change—including how you use what you’ve been given.
We respond to His grace by living generously with our time, our gifts, and our resources so others can experience the love of Jesus too.
Serve: Use your time and gifts to make a difference in the lives of others.
Give: Invest financially in what God is doing through the church.
